Week of April 20-24, 2020

It is Earth Day week and if we were in the classroom right now, we'd be spending every waking second soaking up this gorgeous day!

How can we participate in Earth Day virtually?

The New York Times published an article with resources from blasting off into space, playing environmental games and more! It can be found here.

HERE is a list of Earth day SONGS!

And best of all?

There are even videos with fun facts that are easy to understand!

And last but not least, for some fine motor activities, I'm RAWR-ing over the cool resources I found over at 3 Dinosaurs!

Earth Day

Good Morning Room X-1!

Happy Earth Day!

Today, spend some time outdoors and allow your child to play in the dirt, trees, leaves, grass, etc. It’s just about their favorite thing to do at school!

Spring Do-A-Dot

Hello Room X-1,

I hope that you are enjoying our first over 80-degrees day of April! It sure feels like Bakersfield spring, today.

Today, I have a printable for you!

Do-A-Dot pages for Spring are a great way to jazz up snacktime! I like to use a cupful of Cheerios for a fine motor exercise, placing a Cheerio on the individual circles of the template.

I also love to use stickers or paint on a q-tip to fill in each space on the template!

Here your printable HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning Circle Time

Good Morning my little loves,

I have been missing the classroom and all of my students so much!
I am extremely limited in what I can provide, as most of our learning is hands-on, with little to no paper tasks! I decided the best way to start trying was to start where the day does... in the morning!

Below are the songs that we play every morning.

We use matching tasks, singing and clapping, dancing and cheese ball snacks to get the children engaged and learning!

Enjoy.
